Prosperous Thinking

Louis Pasteur said, “Fortune favours the prepared mind,”

A strong Vision…
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if something is excellent or praiseworthy, THINK about these things. Philippians 4:8

…with the right plans
And what you learned and received and heard and saw in me, DO these things. Philippians 4:9a

…will always lead to strong results.
And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:9b

Are you a prosperous thinker?

When we look in the Bible for the original meaning of prosperous we find that it is a word that represents ongoing progress, positive change, forward motion and upward growth. The root word ‘prosper’ in the Greek means to “make a good way”. Therefore, being prosperous is a journey, sure in its design, constantly scanning for the next undiscovered opportunity that lies ahead. Being prosperous doesn’t mean being financially well-off at some point, but continuously making a new and better way in relation to your business, your team, your friends, your family and in your relationship with God.

You will never be anything greater than you are today until you begin thinking greater thoughts than you ever have thought before.

Why are some entrepreneurs more prosperous than others?

The answer is not in what they DO, but in how they THINK! Referring to the root word ‘prosper’ – its original Greek meaning has two key parts. One part is “make” and the other part is “a good way”. People who focus on the “make” part, or the DO, are always working on the mechanics of the business, equating activity with achievement in a perpetual status quo. The problem existing in only this side of prosperous is that what you’re “doing” will eventually lead to stagnation.

The second part – “a good way” – describes what first must be thought of. Before we intelligently “make”, we must first engage in the creative thinking that defines what a “good way” is; what does it look like, where does it lead.

Prosperous entrepreneurs are people who habitually THINK things
that un-prosperous people don’t.

Does the Bible say, “Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you do things? By changing the way you use what you’ve been given? By changing the way you manage others? No – it says “Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you THINK.” (renewing of your mind Romans 12:2)
